Steamed Tofu & Buttered Prawn

arini datang mood nak main masak-masak. tekak ni teringin sangat nak makan tauhu kukus dari aritu lagi ... tapi terpaksa suppress pasal mase tu kua makan dgn prince berdua aje, dia tak dapat makan tauhu, so macam kejam je kan kalau nak makan tauhu tu depan dia. so, arini decide nak masak steamed tauhu, resipi yang digunakan dtg dari rasamalaysia website tapi actual recipe dia ade satu ingredient yang HARAM so pwincess tanak c&p lah .. i hope takde issue dgn copyright or what.

banyak sbnrnye cara nak masak steamed tofu nih, ada yang simple sangat and ada yang leceh, dua tiga kali keje. tapi, pwincess tercari-cari resipi steamed tofu yang ade bende rangup2 atas tauhu tu. sampai skrg tatau amende yang rangup2 tu, and that's why i tried out this recipe, kut-kut lah dia rangup mcm pwincess tercari2 tu.

komen yang diterima oleh orang2 kat umah sume memberangsangkan (wow, look at the choice of word...haha.) tapi, yes, orang-orang rumah kata sedap sangat, so recipe ni leh la pwincess refer again in the future.

besides steamed tofu, i made buttered prawn and goreng cucur. Buttered prawn recipe gotten from Kak Nor's blog, thank u so much, kak Nor. tapi maaf ye Kak Nor, walaupun resipi ni tasty, tapi pwincess nak edit sket lah recipe ni in the future. kalau ikutkan resipi, udang digoreng dahulu baru buat egg floss. but my egg floss turned out to be soggy though the taste and look are already there. i might goreng egg floss dulu then only goreng udang kot in the future. lets see if it makes any difference.

Recipe as below, thanks to the contributors, pwincess C&P sini ye....:)

Steamed Tofu Recipe
Ingredients:
1 cube of silken tofu
2 tablespoons of dried shrimps
2 stalks of scallions (diagonal cuts)
1 red chili (diagonal cuts)
1 teaspoon of oyster sauce
2 teaspoons of soy sauce
1/2 cup of water
Salt to taste
Sugar to taste
A few drops of sesame oil
White pepper powder to taste
Soak the dried shrimps in warm water for 10 minutes. Drain the water and chopped the dried shrimps into small pieces. Steam the tofu for 5 minutes and set aside. Heat up a wok with some oil and stir fry the dried shrimps until fragant. Add in the water, oyster sauce, soy sauce and bring it to boil. Add in the scallions, red chili, sesame oil, salt and sugar (to taste) and white pepper powder. Quick stir for 30 seconds and pour the toppings onto the steamed tofu. Serve hot with rice.

Bahan2:

12 ekor udang saiz besar
2 sudu butter
3 biji kuning telur ~ K.Nor guna 2 bj sahaja
sedikit daun kari
sedikit cili padi
serbuk kunyit & garam
minyak utk menggoreng

Cara2:
Lumur serbuk kunyit & garam kat udang. Goreng sehingga masak.Bila udang hampir masak tu, masukkan daun kari & cili padi.Gaul seketika sebelom diangkat. Bila dah msak,ketepikan. Dengan menggunakan minyak yg sama, biarkan minyak dikuali anggaran dlm 1/2 cawan cenggitu. Panaskan minyak dan masukkan butter. Biarkan butter cair & minyak betul2 panas.Sementara tu,kacau2 telur bagi rata dan masukkan telur kuning dalam bekas roti jala.

Matikan api bila minyak tu panas2. Dengan menggunakan 2 tangan, tgn kiri pegang telur kuning ..tgn kanan pegang garfu...tuang perlahan2 telur sambil tgn kanan mengacau dlm bentuk pusingan. Biar dia bertali2. Kemudian bila dah selesai, angkat telur tu dah buh dlm tapis utk membuang minyak berlebihan.
