Another milestone?



Little button has high temperature on and off during the weekend ... we thought it might be due to frequent fall as he is in the process to learn to walk. But it could also be another tooth coming out ... having said that, we thought of making him a breastmilk popsicle ... so as to relief his teething. we bought an ice cube tray that is long and skinny shaped for sports water bottle at Ace hardware shop earlier, so we made the popsicle but it may need an overnight to freeze well. The tray look like this:

Apart from that, we made kerabu and steamed golden pomfret today. I ate kerabu taugeh a few days ago at Bank Rakyat's cafe and been thinking about it ever since. Tried Kak Nannie's recipe (as pasted below) and it was yummy.

Kerabu taugeh campur kerang

Bahan-Bahan :

2 cawan taugeh  
5 batang kacang botol  
1 biji bawang besar - boleh kurangkan 
1 biji cili merah - boleh tambah  
1/2 cawan udang kering  
1 cawan isi kerang rebus - boleh tambah 
jus limau nipis secukupnya 
sedikit belacan 
kerisik secukupnya  
Garam dan gula secukup rasa

** Boleh ditambah cili api kalau nak pedas lagi . Anda boleh tambah atau kurang ikut pada selera masing-masing ya..


Cara Penyediaan:

Bersihkan kacang botor dan dipotong nipis kemudian bersihkan taugeh dan dicelur dalam air panas selama 5 saat saja .
Mayang bawang besar nipis-nipis dan ketepikan dulu .Tumbuk udang kering dengan belacan dan cili merah sampai lumat , perah limau kasturi dan ambil jusnya.

Masukkan semua bahan-bahan ke dalam mangkuk yang sesuai dan digaul rata . Jika ada bahan yang terkurang boleh la ditambah ikut pada selera masing-masing.


Bawal Emas Kukus
Bahan-bahan:
1 ekor ikan bawal emas
2 ulas bawang putih - ketuk
Halia 1 inci - mayang
lada hitam
sos tiram
perahan lemon sket
air sedikit
garam

Cara Penyediaan:

Bersihkan ikan. Kelar perut ikan.Lumur semua bahan-bahan ke seluruh ikan dan kukus dalam 15-20 minit.

Weekend Project : Lasagne

It's soooo long since we last main masak-masak, kan .... !

So we had a weekend project today. We cooked lasagne. Recipe was from this blogger who was kind enough to guide step by step.


Ingredients ... mahal la sket kot kalau first time nak stock up cheese, etc. kalau dah ada, breeze je
 Cara-cara:
Beef Bolognese:
1. Panaskan minyak. Masukkan garlice (5 ulas) dan bawang holland (1 biji) dan tumis hingga translucent.
2. Masukkan minced meat (400g) ... masak sampai dia turned warna chocolate. Masukkan semua sos Kimball ...  botol yang sama, tambah sket air, and masukkan dlm kuali tadi tu. Gaul sebati dgn daging.
3. Perisakan dengan garam, oregano, sos cili 1 sudu besar dan black pepper.
4. Lastly, masukkan sliced button mushroom.

Bechamel Sauce:
1. Panaskan butter/fat spread (2 sudu besar).
2. Masukkan 2 sudu besar tepung  gandum. Gaul sebati menggunakan api kecik.
3. Masukkan susu full cream 250ml .... then masuk cheddar cheese/2 keping cheesedale sehingga sebati.
4. Perisakan dengan garam dan kalau dah ok. siap! 
* Buat double pasal lasagne lagi sedap kalau white sauce ni banyak

To assemble:
1. Grease pan with olive oil.
2. Senduk beef bolognese dan amek kepingan lasagne, takyah celur or rebus, just susun dalam loyang.
3. Senduk lagi beef bolognese on top of lasagne sheets, dan tuang white sauce onto it.
4. Tabur mozarella cheese. kalau suke, boleh sprinkle grated parmesan cheese jugak.
5. Ulang step 2-4 a few times ... kalau dapat 4 lapisan tu kire cun dahh...
6. Make sure lapisan last tuang white sauce dan cheese yg sangatt banyakkkk....
7. Masuk dlm preheat oven 180 deg, for 30-40 minutes, ikut oven masing2.
8. Bile dah masak, biar dulu for the cheese to set. dah siapppp...

Encik Mon's 2013 Birthday Celebration

Mon, a thousand apologies ... I had drafted earlier .... but simply could not find time to post the entry ....

Last Sunday, 17th March,  marked Encik Mon's birthday celebration. I wanted to celebrated earlier but there were so many things happened that we simply could not find time for it ... sorry Mon! Encik Mon requested for a Japanese spread .... so apa lagi .... Fu-Rin lah the answer !!!

Fu-rin Japanese dinner buffet is on Saturday, and lunch buffet on every Sunday. Price rasanya dah turun harga, dalam RM60++ ande the 
Buah hati!!
