Kek Puteri Dangdut

my laptop has been acting strangely, lebih-lebih lagi towards the end of my studies. alhamdulillah, dah bleh kata habis laa ni, so boleh la jalankan projek format laptop. so now and then, i organize balik files and folders and i found some pictures of baked goods yang i, myself had already forgotten bile masa tah baked .. hehe. so i need to record it in this blog ...

well, for tonight, i'll showcase this one sarawakian steamed cake called kek puteri dangdut. recipe by a kind and sweet blogger, Hasue. thanks so much for sharing this :) the cake is so yummy, easy to prepare with minimum number of ingredients. i made half adunan in 7' square pan and the end product disappeared within seconds, and there were only two of us!

Bahan-bahan (Separuh adunan)

  • 220 g mentega
  • 1/2 cawan gula halus
  • 5 biji telur A
  • 3/4 cawan tepung gandum
  • 3/4 cawan horlicks
  • 1/4 tin susu manis
  • 1/2 botol browning sugar (mine was pekat, need to dilute with hot water)

Bahan-bahan Asal ( loyang 8"x8"x3.5" )

  • 450g mentega (sy guna golden churn)
  • 1 gelas gula halus
  • 10 biji telur
  • 1 gelas tepung gandum
  • 2 gelas horlicks
  • 1 tin kecil susu manis
  • 1 botol browning sugar

Cara-cara

  1. Pukul mentega bersama gula hingga kembang/putih
  2. Masukkan telur satu persatu (pukul sekata baru masukkan telur seterusnya) hingga habis..
  3. Masukkan pula tepung gandum,horlicks dan susu pekat manis satu persatu sambil di adun rata. Setelah sebati,masukkan browning sugar dan kacau hingga warnanya sekata..
  4. Masukkan adunan ke dlm loyang yg sudah digris mentega dan ditabur tepung atau loyang dlapik kertas minyak.
  5. Pastikan pengukus sudah mendidih. Tutup loyang dgn aluminium foil(jgn ketatkn kerana kek akan naik ketika dkukus)cukup skadar utk mengelakkan air kukusan menitik di pmukaan kek.selain tu,boleh juga ltk kain di atas penutup pengukus utk mengelak hal yg sama berlaku.
  6. Kukuslah adunan kek selama 2 jam ke atas(org kate,lg lama kek tu dkukus,lagi thn la kek tu)..tp sy kukus selama 2 1/2 jam jer.dah sehari semalam kat luar,simpan dlm pt sejuk..mmg thn lama.
